been busy with schooling, but quite frankly, I've been shittin' on the game and making these classes my bitches. In the mist of all the educational butt raping I've been doing i also got some work done on the Miata. Finally installed suspension and wheels, cleaned up some things here and there, just getting things dialed in.I was lucky enough to have my good friend Gary from Gary's garage come down and roll my fenders, they came out amazing (thanks Gary!!)...the car is sitting really nice with plenty of clearance while still keeping the tires tucked just a tad. Everything is coming together nicely, just waiting on alignment to finally get some aggressive driving in. Among other things, waiting on pics to get in from Phototong (because I've been waiting for some legit pics since forever)That being said, I'm not gonna post up any true pics of how she's sitting now, just a peek.

so , i finally took care of some over due maintnance...changed the oil, front brakes, rear brakes, brake fluid, clutch fluid. surprisingly i found it all pretty easy, nothing complicated, usually one thing will happen that throws everything off, but i didn't have that. felt awkward lol.......anywho, my brakes feel a jabillion times better and not so sketchy.

So Ive probably mentioned that i picked up a Miata, and I gotta say so far i'm really diggin' it. It's truly a fun little car, you feel like your sitting directly in the middle and the weight balance feels phenomenal. As slow as it may be, it sure doesn't feel like it, its a revy lil' motor, pretty much anything after 4 grand and it moves. the interior is nice and cozy, but doesn't feel small. Something about it is so, I don't know, raw, it's pure, nothing is watered down and diluted, it is what it is. It's so simple i love it, it's about as close to an 86 as you can get with out being a chassis that's old as dirt.(not to say that AE or TE chassis' aren't good,lets face it, they're old)


anywho, can't wait to start playing with it. On a parting note, here's a Mx-5 i found online, i love how simple it is!

satisfaction

sorry for the super delay, needless to say ive been up to no good, making some potentially big changes(I HOPE!).So finally after weeks of contemplating i decided to get rid of my s13.I had finally gathered all the parts needed to do the 5-speed swap(good stuff too), then one day kinda realized it wasn't what i wanted. Not too long after deciding i didn't want s-chassis, my little brother decides he wants to track his car(note pic below of the animal himself giving the ever popular gun)



it was there that i realized what i wanted next, MIATA!!! i had to go home and do more research.So after a weeks worth of that, i test drove, and more research, and more thought, and did some math, and Googled, and read, and "yes, this is what i want", so i did just that....and after a lil bit of waiting i finally got one, its in good shape, came with some cool extras, and not to mention i got it for pretty cheap, im diggin' it so far, can't wait to start playing around with it.

So finally i'm getting back to work, meaning soon their will hopefully be funds to work with. Putting together the list in my head and it seems a bit overwhelming. Funds for this , funds for that, oh also need a five speed swap, not to mention the un-matching rims starting to make my stomache turn. Never the less, it's time to get this building block game started. I guess B.I.G was right "mo money, mo problems"...

bringing the noise

So this summer's off to a slow start, and to be honest i'm having mixed emotions about my dive into s13 adventures. Some days I love that I finally got a fastback, somedays I love the potential she has, but then somedays I debate and debate about starting new projects instead (TE Corolla, FC, even going back to Honda's). Ultimately, the 13 is what i want, ive got it, i might as well use it. But geeze it's off to a slow start. It just seems like ive been kicked to the back of the line since the crash. As Joe Dirt once said "sometimes you just gotta keep on keepin' on," and i feel that thats just what i'll do. Hopefully after summer I start making good moneys and start making some REAL noise.

After parting out what was left of the 14, i had just enough money to get me into another s-chassis, luckily i ran into this clean fastback. Ive been wanting one of these since forever. She needs a lil work, but she's getting there. to kick off the start of her new life, ive already painted the front bumper an gave her a lil better ride height. Some pics of the body work and paint. I must admit im a little bit rusty, the last time I did boy work was on my hatch back in 06. I soon remembered how much body work sucks ass.

the sad details

What started off as a good night ended horrible. from playful driving to seeing my car lifeless and upside own beside a mountain. Luckily enough, i met the nicest people ever who let me use there AAA to get my car home(thanks Richard and Charity). Finally getting home at 5am, my family walking out in tears as they saw my car crushed. I was lucky to say the least, so many things could have gone worse. Im both happy and greatful to be able to keep living this wonderful life a have. there's a greater good up there looking after me, thankyou.

sadly, i've been neglecting this blog, so much has been going on this past month or so, its been hard to keep track of things.....to make a long story short, theres no more project rooster :( ..flipped her up in the touge, but thats a story all its own that i'll tell later....parted her out and scrambled up just enough moneys to get me into another s-chassis....i'll be posting up soon

Practice Makes Perfect Sense

I must say, I had a pretty good weekend.it marks the start of my spring break from work, and my little brothers birthday..(happy birthday baby bro)..anyways, I got to thinking, and alot of it, about random things, from the future, to people, to different situations..and I was thankful, that everyone and everything seems to have fallen into place...a great family that once was, is still that same great family, just with a couple new faces..I love my family and how my family makes me ME..and its a reminder that life isnt about the things you have, but more so the people you surround yourself with.

Sorry I couldn't get pics of all four, anywho, yesterday turned out to be a great day. Starting with breakfast with my one and only Flavor Flaav. Then headed out to lunch with my grandparents, gotta love that at home Guatamalan food!!! And lastly the Oishii Sushi meet thats held every saturday. The Toyota guys are all really cool and friendly, surprisingly welcoming to the old Nissan badges too. Trust me the pictures don't do it justice, the food was amazing, pictured above are: Spicy Scallop Role, Tiger Role, and (the best) TNT Role. It was all delicious, sadly i had eaten so much earlier I couldn't eat as much as i had wanted :( I highly recomend this place and the meets are every saturday!!

so i gave the old engine bay a bath a couple days ago, put in too many quarters so i decided to wash the outside too, almost immediately after my car started running like S#IT (water on spark plug wires)..needed new spark plugs anyways, running like a champ again

Aside from having a fantastic night with my Flavor Flaav (GF) i got some cool stuff, as seen above. She managed to get sneak in some Weapon R floor mats before we met for dinner, Awesome to say the least! Also, test fitted my pretty sweet wood grain GT Grant steering wheel, but i'll put that in some other time, or maybe it'll go in my brothers s13.
